First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests if a single infusion of umbilical cord blood can safely raise platelet counts in 25 cancer patients aged 12 to 65 whose platelets dropped due to chemotherapy or other cancer treatments. Participants receive the infusion and are monitored for 28 days for platelet recovery and side effects. The goal is to reduce the need for platelet transfusions and bleeding risks.
