Could a simple ultrasound replace x-rays for Kids' broken elbows?

NCT ID NCT07212036

Summary

This study is testing whether using ultrasound instead of X-rays can improve the diagnosis of elbow fractures in children visiting the emergency room. Researchers will compare two groups of children with elbow pain: one group gets an ultrasound exam, and the other gets standard X-rays. The main goals are to see if ultrasound reduces radiation exposure, lowers costs, shortens ER visits, and increases patient and family satisfaction.
