Could a simple ultrasound replace an MRI for knee injuries?

NCT ID NCT06159153

Summary

This study aimed to see if a special type of ultrasound (dynamic ultrasonography) is as good as an MRI at finding meniscus tears in the knee. It involved patients who were already scheduled for knee surgery (arthroscopy). The results from the ultrasound and MRI were compared against what the surgeon actually saw during the operation to check their accuracy.
