Ultrasound aimed to make spinal anesthesia easier for very obese moms
NCT ID NCT06410820
Summary
This study tested if using an ultrasound machine to guide spinal anesthesia is better than the traditional 'feel for landmarks' method for very obese women (BMI 50+) having planned C-sections. It involved 60 women and measured which method was more successful on the first try, faster, and caused fewer complications. The goal was to make the anesthesia procedure easier and more comfortable for these patients.
