Summary

This study will compare two methods for locating the ulnar nerve in the wrist: using ultrasound imaging versus measuring physical landmarks. Researchers will enroll 40 healthy adults to see which technique is more reliable for placing stimulating electrodes. The goal is to improve how doctors deliver electrical stimulation to hand muscles.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could improve the accuracy of nerve stimulation techniques, potentially leading to better outcomes in nerve-related procedures.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage observational study with only 40 participants. It does not test a treatment, so direct patient benefits are not expected.
