New ultrasound technology could offer simpler bone density testing
NCT ID NCT06371755
Summary
This study is testing whether a new ultrasound technology called REMS can accurately measure bone density as well as the current standard DXA scan. Researchers will compare both methods in 296 women aged 30-80 who are already scheduled for bone density testing. The goal is to see if this ultrasound approach could become a reliable alternative for diagnosing osteoporosis.
