Could a simple ultrasound replace contrast CT for tracking cancer spread?
NCT ID NCT04837833
First seen May 08, 2026 ยท Last updated May 08, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a special computer program can analyze ultrasound images to measure liver tumors in people with pancreatic or gastrointestinal cancer that has spread to the liver. About 19 participants will get both a standard contrast CT and two research ultrasounds. The goal is to see if the ultrasound method gives similar results to the CT, which could mean less radiation and contrast dye for patients in the future.
