Could a simple scan replace uncomfortable colonoscopies for gut disease?

NCT ID NCT07115524

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple, non-invasive intestinal ultrasound can be as accurate as a colonoscopy for monitoring active ulcerative colitis. Researchers will compare ultrasound scores with colonoscopy results in 200 adult patients with active disease. The goal is to find a more comfortable and accessible way to track this chronic gut condition over time.
