Sound waves target tumors: new Non-Invasive treatment offers hope for pain relief

NCT ID NCT07180706

Summary

This study is testing a non-invasive ultrasound treatment called histotripsy to relieve symptoms like pain caused by abdominal tumors that cannot be surgically removed. The treatment uses focused sound waves to break down tumor tissue without needles or radiation. Researchers will enroll 30 patients to see if this approach safely improves quality of life and reduces tumor-related discomfort.
