Sound waves reveal hidden changes after tooth implants
NCT ID NCT05330702
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study aimed to use ultrasound imaging to track early changes in the bone and gum around new tooth implants placed right after a tooth is pulled. Researchers compared three groups: one with a gum graft, one with a collagen material, and one with no extra tissue. The study was stopped early, but it was designed to help dentists understand how tissues heal in the first few months after implant surgery.
