New ultrasound scan could spot hidden danger for babies of diabetic mothers
NCT ID NCT06343974
Summary
This study aims to see if a computer analysis of regular pregnancy ultrasound pictures can detect a condition called fetal hyperinsulinemia, which is high insulin in babies of mothers with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will compare ultrasound images from 20 pregnant women with type 1 diabetes to 40 healthy pregnant women. The goal is to develop a safe, non-invasive way to identify babies at risk for complications like low blood sugar after birth.
