Ultrasound may predict relapse in blood vessel disease
NCT ID NCT06894602
First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether ultrasound images of the temporal and axillary arteries can help predict when giant cell arteritis (GCA) will flare up again. GCA is a condition that causes inflammation in medium and large blood vessels. Researchers will follow 100 adults with GCA to see if certain ultrasound findings are linked to relapses. The goal is to improve monitoring and possibly guide treatment decisions.
