Smart ultrasound may spot prostate cancer more accurately

Summary

This study tests whether analyzing ultrasound images with computer software can help doctors find prostate cancer more accurately during a targeted biopsy. About 464 men aged 55 and older with suspected prostate cancer will take part. The approach compares the new ultrasound-based method to standard MRI-guided and systematic biopsy techniques.
