Major hospital trial aims to save babies by catching slow growth sooner

NCT ID NCT03662178

Summary

This study is testing a new hospital program that uses ultrasound scans to better identify babies who are growing too slowly in the womb, a major risk for stillbirth. It will involve about 56,000 pregnant women receiving routine care at Oxford University Hospitals. The goal is to see if this structured scanning program can help doctors monitor at-risk pregnancies more closely and prevent tragic outcomes like stillbirth and newborn death.
