First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether early ultrasound scans of burn scars can predict which patients will have lasting pain 3 to 6 months after injury. Researchers will measure scar thickness, blood flow, and nerve involvement in 150 adults with blast- or drone-related burns. The goal is to identify pain early so treatment can be improved.
