New ultrasound scan aims to better track devastating muscle disease

NCT ID NCT07378553

Summary

This study aims to test if a new, advanced type of ultrasound scan can better track the progression of Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies. Researchers will compare muscle scans from 60 boys and men with these conditions to scans from healthy individuals of the same age over 12 months. The goal is to see if this non-invasive scan can provide sensitive, objective measurements of muscle damage for use in future treatment trials.
