Sound waves may boost melasma treatment
NCT ID NCT07202156
Summary
This study is testing a new way to treat melasma, a common skin condition that causes brown patches on the face. Researchers are using gentle ultrasound waves to help a special skin-lightening solution absorb better into the skin. They will compare the treated side of the face to the untreated side in 35 participants to see if it safely reduces the dark patches.
