Doctors test dual ultrasound to Fine-Tune life support for critically ill

NCT ID NCT07248995

Summary

This study aims to find a safer way to set ventilator pressure for patients who are critically ill with both lung failure (ARDS) and a recent brain injury. Researchers will use two types of ultrasound—one on the lungs and one on the brain—to try to find a pressure setting that helps the lungs work better without harming the brain. The goal is to create a more personalized and protective approach to ventilation for these very sick patients.
