Summary
This study tested a new way to numb the throat before placing a breathing tube in awake patients. 60 adults with difficult airways received either a standard numbing spray or an ultrasound-guided injection near the voice box. The new method aimed to reduce coughing and discomfort during the procedure. Results showed it was safe and effective.
