First seen Mar 03, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests if a new ultrasound-guided numbing method for the throat is as good as the standard method for awake breathing tube insertion. About 94 adults with difficult airways will be randomly assigned to one of two numbing techniques. The goal is to see which approach provides better comfort and fewer side effects during the procedure.
