NCT ID NCT06527235
First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether a steroid injection (betamethasone) into the wall of the meniscus, guided by ultrasound, can quickly relieve knee pain caused by a degenerative meniscus tear. About 152 adults with persistent knee pain despite standard treatments will receive either the steroid or a placebo injection. The main goal is to see if the steroid reduces pain more than the placebo after one month.
