Ultrasound could make breast cancer surgery quicker and less invasive
NCT ID NCT07338721
Summary
This study is testing whether using an ultrasound machine to guide where surgeons make an incision during breast cancer surgery helps them find the first lymph node more easily. Researchers will compare this ultrasound-guided method to the standard technique in 40 patients. They hope the new approach will allow for a smaller cut, less tissue disruption, and a faster operation.
