New scan aims to prevent dangerous complications after lung surgery
NCT ID NCT07258875
Summary
This study is testing if using a special ultrasound scan, called VExUS, to guide how much fluid a patient receives during lung surgery can help prevent serious complications. Researchers will compare this scan-guided approach to the standard fluid plan in 230 patients. The main goal is to see if this method reduces the risk of kidney injury and lung problems after surgery.
