Could a simple scan make skin cancer surgery more precise?

NCT ID NCT07361666

Summary

This study is testing if using a special high-frequency ultrasound scan before surgery helps doctors better map out skin cancers on the face, head, or neck. The goal is to see if this extra scan helps surgeons remove the entire tumor in one go, reducing the need for repeat surgeries. Researchers will compare outcomes for 400 patients whose tumors are assessed with and without this ultrasound tool.
