Brain ultrasound tested as new hope for tough opioid addiction
NCT ID NCT06218706
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive, focused ultrasound treatment can help people with severe opioid addiction who haven't been helped by other treatments. It's a small, early-stage trial to check if the procedure is safe and if it might reduce drug use. Some participants will receive the real ultrasound treatment, while others get a sham (fake) procedure for comparison.
