Can a simple leg scan predict ICU recovery?
NCT ID NCT07475767
Summary
This study aims to learn if ultrasound scans of a patient's thigh muscles can help doctors understand their nutritional status and predict how well they will recover after major surgery. Researchers will observe 50 patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), measuring their leg muscles with ultrasound and comparing it to standard health scores. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help tailor care for critically ill patients.
