New ultrasound method aims to keep heart failure patients out of the hospital

NCT ID NCT07096726

Summary

This study is testing whether using a special five-point ultrasound to guide fluid removal (diuresis) in hospitalized heart failure patients works better than the current standard of care. Researchers will compare if this ultrasound-guided approach leads to fewer patients being readmitted to the hospital within 30 and 90 days. The goal is to find a more reliable way to manage fluid buildup and improve outcomes for people with worsening heart failure.
