First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing whether low-intensity focused ultrasound can safely reduce seizures in adults with epilepsy that doesn't respond well to medication. Up to 8 participants will receive six ultrasound treatments over three weeks while continuing their regular anti-seizure drugs. Researchers will monitor for side effects and track changes in seizure frequency, brain activity, and quality of life over a 12-week follow-up period.
