First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether ultrasound can help doctors predict if placing a breathing tube will be difficult in people with acromegaly (a condition caused by a pituitary tumor). Researchers will measure certain airway distances with ultrasound and combine them with standard physical exams. The goal is to improve safety during pituitary surgery. About 34 adults with acromegaly will take part.
