Can a simple leg scan predict falls in diabetes?
NCT ID NCT06778005
Summary
This study aims to understand if ultrasound scans of leg nerves can help explain walking and balance problems in people with diabetic nerve damage. Researchers will compare ultrasound measurements with walking tests and balance assessments in 86 people, including those with and without diabetic neuropathy. The goal is to see if ultrasound could become a simpler tool to detect nerve problems early and guide care.
