Brain-Zapping ultrasound tested as potential new depression treatment

NCT ID NCT05147142

Summary

This study is testing whether a new, non-invasive ultrasound technique can safely change brain activity in areas linked to depression and anxiety. Researchers are enrolling 25 veterans to check for safety and see if the ultrasound can reduce activity in specific brain regions. This is early research to gather information that could help develop future treatments, not to provide immediate therapy.
