Could a simple scan reduce Kids' X-Ray radiation?

NCT ID NCT03507972

Summary

This study tested whether using ultrasound could improve how doctors diagnose ankle injuries in children. Researchers compared ultrasound results to MRI scans (considered the most accurate method) in 97 children with ankle injuries. The goal was to see if ultrasound could help doctors make better decisions, potentially reducing the need for X-rays and limiting children's radiation exposure.
