Wrist scan could spot carpal tunnel before It's too late

NCT ID NCT02747836

Summary

This study tested whether ultrasound imaging could detect early signs of carpal tunnel syndrome by measuring how tissues move inside the wrist. Researchers compared ultrasound measurements in people with and without carpal tunnel syndrome to see if changes in connective tissue thickness and movement could signal the condition before nerve damage occurs. The goal was to develop a better method for early diagnosis, when non-surgical treatments might still be effective.
