Doctors test new ultrasound tech to map tumors in Real-Time during surgery
NCT ID NCT05637346
Summary
This study tested a new method to help surgeons navigate during abdominal cancer operations. Researchers developed computer software to automatically create 3D maps of a patient's blood vessels and bones using ultrasound during surgery. The goal is to make surgical navigation more accurate by updating the surgical map in real-time as tissues shift, potentially leading to better outcomes.
