Ultrasound zaps nerves to calm failing hearts

NCT ID NCT04719637

Summary

This study tested a new ultrasound device designed to calm overactive nerves in the kidneys, which can worsen heart failure. It involved just 6 patients with chronic, stable heart failure to check if the procedure was safe. Researchers measured nerve activity and exercise capacity to see if the treatment could help control the disease.
