Sound waves target brain to stop seizures

NCT ID NCT07249190

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a non-surgical procedure that uses focused sound waves guided by an MRI machine to treat a small area deep in the brain. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can reduce the number of seizures in adults whose epilepsy is not controlled by at least two medications. Researchers will follow 20 participants for two years to track their seizure frequency and quality of life.
