Summary
This study aims to understand how specific brain circuits are involved in the persistent symptoms of treatment-resistant depression. Researchers will use a non-invasive, focused ultrasound device on 120 participants to temporarily and safely alter activity in deep brain pathways. By measuring changes in brain scans and behavior during tasks, they hope to identify precise targets for future brain stimulation therapies.
