Can a simple ultrasound predict outcomes in sick Moms-to-Be?
NCT ID NCT06728722
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at how the bodies of critically ill pregnant women change during their ICU stay. Researchers will use bedside ultrasound to measure muscle loss, fat changes, and fluid buildup. They want to see if these changes are linked to serious outcomes like death, need for a breathing machine, or longer hospital stays. About 121 women will take part, and the goal is to find simple ways to spot problems early.
