Targeted pain relief may help patients breathe easier after surgery

NCT ID NCT07394816

Summary

This study aims to see if a specific type of targeted pain control, given via ultrasound-guided injections, is linked to fewer serious lung problems after major abdominal surgery. Researchers will observe 500 patients aged 65 and older who are having planned surgery. They will compare outcomes between patients who receive this targeted pain block and those who get other standard pain relief methods.
