First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a new, noninvasive treatment for fibromyalgia that uses ultrasound to gently stimulate a part of the brain linked to pain. About 180 adults with fibromyalgia will receive either the real treatment or a sham (fake) version over four sessions in one month. Researchers will track pain levels and overall symptoms for 16 weeks to see if the ultrasound truly helps ease the condition.
