Summary

This study looked at how eating ultra-processed foods versus unprocessed foods affects the stress hormone cortisol in healthy men. Twenty volunteers ate two different meals with similar calories and nutrients, and their blood cortisol levels were measured before and after eating. The goal was to see if the type of food processing changes the body's immediate hormone response.
