Scientists test if Ultra-Processed foods harm health even when diets are 'Healthy'
NCT ID NCT07252037
Summary
This study aims to understand how the level of food processing affects health markers like blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol. Researchers will provide 79 overweight or obese adults with two different diets that both follow healthy eating guidelines—one made mostly of ultra-processed foods and the other of less-processed foods. By carefully controlling what participants eat, the study will measure changes in their health to see if food processing itself makes a difference.
