Heart scan dilemma: act fast or wait for kidneys to heal?

NCT ID NCT05906758

Summary

This study aims to see if it's safe to perform a crucial heart imaging test immediately, using an ultra-low amount of dye, in hospitalized patients who have a sudden drop in kidney function. Researchers will compare patients who get the test right away to those who wait until their kidney function stabilizes, checking if the immediate approach causes less kidney damage. The goal is to help doctors make better decisions for patients who need both heart care and kidney protection.
