Heart failure Flare-Up? study tests Super-Strength water pills

NCT ID NCT06036914

Summary

This Mayo Clinic study tested whether giving ultra-high doses of water pills (diuretics) is safe and works better than standard doses for people hospitalized with a sudden, severe worsening of heart failure. The small, 20-person pilot trial compared how much fluid patients lost and other health measures over 24 hours. The goal was to see if this stronger approach helps control the dangerous fluid buildup faster.
