First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new, fast-made CAR-T cell therapy for people with severe lupus that hasn't improved with standard treatments. The therapy uses a person's own immune cells, modified to target and calm the overactive immune system causing lupus. The main goals are to see if it's safe and if it can reduce disease activity, with 18 adults expected to join.
