Summary

This study looked at whether a drug called ulinastatin, given during heart surgery, can reduce serious lung problems that sometimes happen after the operation. Researchers analyzed data from over 4,500 patients who had heart surgery and also studied how the drug might work in the body. They found that patients who received the drug had a lower rate of these lung complications.
