Study aims to find best treatment target for ulcerative colitis

Summary
This study aims to determine the best treatment goal for people with active ulcerative colitis. Researchers are comparing three different targets: symptom relief alone, symptom relief plus healing seen during a colonoscopy, or achieving all of that plus microscopic healing of intestinal tissue. The main goal is to see which target best prevents future complications and improves quality of life for patients.
