Doctors test simple blood scores to gauge gut disease flares
NCT ID NCT07236333
Summary
This study aimed to see if two simple scores calculated from common blood tests (CALLY and HALP) could help doctors better understand and track flare-ups in people with ulcerative colitis. Researchers looked at 100 patients under 18 years old to check if changes in these scores matched the severity of their gut inflammation. The goal was to find a clearer way to measure disease activity, not to test a new treatment.
