Doctors' computer screens targeted to curb unnecessary pill prescriptions

NCT ID NCT06998966

Summary

This study aims to see if making small changes to the prescription screen in UCLA's electronic health record system can help doctors prescribe stomach acid medications (PPIs) more appropriately. The research will involve about 372 UCLA primary care doctors and will automatically track prescription data. The goal is to reduce unnecessarily long prescriptions while letting doctors make the final decision for their patients.
