Summary
This study aims to help patients with ulcerative colitis decide between two main options when standard medications have failed. It will compare the quality of life for 500 people who either try additional drug therapies or choose to have their colon surgically removed. The goal is to provide better guidance for future patients facing this difficult treatment decision.
